A food baking oven has a backing chamber enclosed within a housing. Access to the baking chamber is via a swing-door with en external operating panel linked to a power supply. The operating panel is integrated within the oven door. In a further embodiment the control unit is integrated within a hatch handle. The power supply is located on the rear face of the oven housing.
