<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing plate material excellent in tone reproducibility and plate wearability and a support for lithographic printing plate material, by which both the capabilities are given. <P>SOLUTION: This support for lithographic printing plate material has a roughened surface applied with electrochemical processing and anodizing processing on one surface of an aluminum plate under the condition that the roughened surface profile has (a) an arithmetic mean roughness (Ra) of 0.30-0.55 μm and (b) the ratio (Xa/Xb) of a spread Xa towards the shallow region side of the amplitude distribution curve to a spread Xb towards its deep region side at a position, at which the frequency in the amplitude distribution curve of a three dimensional surface roughness curve becomes a peak (at a peak depth), of 0.40-0.70. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
