<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beam shaping lens of a space-saving type easily and highly accurately performing alignment and fixation of a light source such as a semiconductor laser. <P>SOLUTION: Since the beam shaping lens 10 has a notched surface 15 for alignment formed at one part of an outer peripheral part 13, the beam shaping lens 10 is fixed to a supporting member to be a pedestal for alignment and fixation of the light source while the beam shaping lens 10 is suitably inclined and aligned by setting the inclined angle of the notched surface 15.
