<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify a component element which becomes the cause of abnormality when an error occurs in an apparatus for forming an image by exposing photographic paper with a plurality of laser beams whose intensity is modulated and color-developing photosensitive material. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with light sources to emit laser beams having different wavelength, AOMs 22R to 22B to modulate the intensity of the respective laser beams, synchronizing sensors 32R to 32B to output synchronizing signals when the respective laser beams are made incident, controllers 46R to 46B to control the AOMs in accordance with the input timing of the synchronizing signal, a specification part to specify an abnormal color when one of the synchronizing signals is not inputted in the controllers, and a generation part to generate a pseudo synchronizing signal corresponding to the abnormal color and output it to the controllers in accordance with the input timing of another synchronizing signal where abnormality is not detected based on relation of the input timing between the synchronizing signals. The controllers control the AOMs corresponding to the abnormal color in accordance with timing that another synchronizing signal and the pseudo synchronizing signal are inputted and form a test chart. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
