PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light collecting device of relatively simple construction, capable of guiding sunlight from a light collecting means to an irradiation means by refracting the light as required. SOLUTION: The light collecting device comprises a light collecting means 6 introducing sunlight installed on a roof 4, a cylinder-shaped light guiding means 8 guiding the light from the light collecting means 6 in a prescribed direction while reflecting the light on its inside face, and an irradiation means 12 installed on a ceiling 10 irradiating the light from the light guiding means 8 in a room. The light guiding means 8 is composed of a first cylinder-shaped member 62 mounted on the light collecting means 6, a second cylinder-shaped member 64 mounted on the irradiation means 12, and a third cylinder-shaped member 66 connected between the first cylinder-shaped member 62 and the second cylinder-shaped member 64. The first cylinder-shaped member 62 and the second cylinder-shaped member 64 are equipped with an angle adjusting mechanism, respectively, and the first cylinder-shaped member 62 and the second cylinder-shaped member 64 are enabled to freely change their angle within a range of 0 to 45 degrees by the angle adjusting mechanism.
