PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for inspecting an insulated state capable of inspecting the insulated state of an underground buried pipe over a wide range. SOLUTION: This method for inspecting the insulated state of the underground buried pipe 10 connected with the first piping part and the second piping part via an insulating part 3 includes an installation step for installing a paired electrodes 4 on a ground surface, a voltage application step for applying a low frequency of alternating current voltage not flowing via the insulating part 3 between the first piping part and the paired electrodes 4, and a determination step for measuring a magnetic field along a direction crossed with the underground buried pipe 10, under the condition where the alternating current voltage is applied, to determine the insulated state of the underground buried pipe 10.
