PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To balance safety related to overheat prevention with ease of use related to high-temperature cooking. SOLUTION: When an overheat prevention mode and a high-temperature cooking mode are allowed to be selected by operation by a changeover switch and the high-temperature cooking mode is selected by determination in S2 after an ignition operation, the set temperature of an overheat prevention means is set at 400°C to substantially release the overheat prevention means in S9; the set time of a non-extinction timer is set at 20 min shorter than 120 min in the case of the overheat prevention mode in S10; and an indicator lamp is turned on in S11. When the non-extinction timer (20 min) expires before reaching the set temperature (400°C) in S8, the current carried to an electromagnetic valve is stopped to automatically extinguish this cooking stove and notification by a buzzer is carried out in S7.
