PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial composition having excellent initial antibacterial properties and sustainability of the antibacterial properties, capable of dealing with many kinds of bacteria, and having no problem in safety; and to provide an antibacterial resin molded product containing the antibacterial composition. SOLUTION: The antibacterial composition contains an organic antibacterial agent and an inorganic antibacterial agent. Zirconium phosphate carrying silver or copper can be used as the inorganic antibacterial agent, and 2-mercaptopyridin-N-oxide sodium salt, carbendazim (methyl 1H-benzimidazol-2-ylcarbamate), and thiabendazole (2-(4-thiazolyl)-1H-benzimidazole) can be used as the organic antibacterial agent. These components do not contain a halogen to make the antibacterial agent halogen-free. The antibacterial composition can be applied to the antibacterial resin molded product by being molded with a resin material or being coated with a coating material on a resin molded product.
