PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor having a chain and a sprocket capable of reducing the width of a main frame and preventing degradation of the ride quality. SOLUTION: A chain 6 to connect right and left sides of a large number of steps 4 is formed by turnably connecting a large number of links 9A, 9B. At least a part of the links 9A are constituted of a pair of right and left link plates 10, 11 facing each other with a space therebetween, a first roller 14 arranged between the link plates 10, 11, and a second roller 15 which is arranged between the link plates 10, 11 and has the diameter smaller than that of the first roller 14. First tooth grooves 16 to be engaged with an outer circumferential part of the first roller 14 are formed in a circumferential edge part of a sprocket 8 to drive the chain 6 with a predetermined interval in the circumferential direction, and second tooth grooves 17 to be engaged with an outer circumferential part of the second roller 15 are formed between the first tooth grooves 16.
