PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover device which has rigidity, has not limits in materials, and has a good appearance. SOLUTION: (1) This glove box 10 for vehicle has (a) a glove box main body 20 equipped with a recess section 23, (b) a rod 30 equipped with a rod end 31 which can be reciprocated to the glove box main body 20 and can enter the recess section, (c) a knob 52, and a lock 50 equipped with a fitting section 53a in which the rod end 31 is fitted and arranged in the recess section 23. The rod 30 is equipped with a protruding section 31a which protrudes from the rod end 31 to the depth surface 23e side of the recess section 23. (2) A hole 23a for inserting the rod 30 is provided on both of the right and left side walls of the recess section 23. (3) Either one of the edge of the hole 23a for the insertion of the rod 30 and the protruding section 31a of the rod 30 is provided with a slope 23d which tilts to the central side in the lateral direction of the recess section 23 and to the opening 23c side of the recess section 23.
