METHOD FOR IMPROVING LOSS BY PACKET REDUNDANCY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for reducing any influence due to any packet loss by redundancy of packets, and for improving a loss by the redundancy of packets by shortening the missing block of continuous data. SOLUTION: In this method and system for improving any packet loss due to the redundancy of packets, (n) packets obtained by dividing real time data such as a voice to be transmitted into (n) pieces and (n+1) redundant packets constituted of the exclusive logical sum of the data are transmitted. Even when the loss of one packet is generated, the loss packet is reproduced by the exclusive logical sum of the residual (n-1) packets and the redundant packets so that the data loss can be reduced. Even when the loss of at least two packets among the (n) divided packets and the redundant packets is generated at the time of receiving any of the (n) divided packets, the packets are decoded at the correct time positions.
