PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed sheet, preventing loss of a foaming agent in an early stage and having excellent cushioning properties and moderate stiffness strength and excellent secondary foamability and metal mold reproducibility and to provide a method for producing the foamed sheet and further to provide a fruit vegetable container by carrying out thermoforming of the foamed sheet.

SOLUTION: The foamed sheet for thermoforming consists essentially of a resin composition of an impact-resistant polystyrenic resin (A) and a styrenic elastomer (B) and has <10% open-cell ratio and≥3 wt.% residual content of butane.
