A UV source (40l) and an electronic camera (40k) are arranged in a test chamber (40) over the photocatalytic surface of a test sample (20) and linked to a computer (50) with evaluatory software. The camera is designed for producing a phantom color picture, for which measuring procedures are applied. Sources of X-rays and acoustic irradiation are applied. An independent claim is also included for a method for non-contact/non-destructive testing of a photocatalytic surface coating of a component.
