<p>The vegetable oil operated diesel engine has an injection pump and at least one injection nozzle. The projection of the injection nozzle is at the least of such size that after 200 running hours under normal load no deposits form externally on the nozzle orifices, and at most of such size that 500 running hours under normal load no deposits form in the nozzle orifices which reduce the cross section of the nozzle orifices by more than 15 per cent.</p>
