A circular receiving opening (22) for receiving a male connector (21) is defined in a housing (12). A circular opening (27) for receiving the forward end of the male connector (21) is defined in the circular receiving opening (22). A female connector (24) is contained in the housing (12). A guide member (26) defines a guiding surface (29) along a space tapering from the receiving opening (22) toward the opening (27). The guiding surface (29) guides the male connector (21) from the receiving opening (22) to the opening (27). Since the opening (27) is formed circularly, the male connector (21) cannot advance deeply into the opening (27) even if it is guided to the opening (27) in an inclined attitude. The male connector (21) can be inserted into the female connector (24) only in a specified attitude following the attitude of the female connector (24). Consequently, the male connector (21) can be reliably guided to the female connector (24).
