<p>The invention relates to a method for regulating the amplification of a high-frequency signal, whereby an amplifier is adjusted based on a table, and also to a transmitter and/or a receiver and a communications system. The aim of the invention is to provide a method of the aforementioned type, a transmitter and/or a receiver and a communications system, which permit the regulation of transmission power at high speed and with a low complexity of circuitry, whilst reliably observing, in particular, the strict UMTS specifications. To achieve this, a value to be set of the manipulated variable UAPC of the amplifier VGA is determined from a respective value of the gain slope GS of a characteristic curve of the amplifier VGA, whereby values of the gain slope GS of the amplification G(UAPC) are made available and stored in the table T.</p> |
