<p>A press capable of manufacturing a product by a pair of metal molds, comprising a frame portion (10) and a movable portion reciprocatingly movable in vertical direction relative to the frame portion, the movable portion further comprising a slide (24) having one of the metal molds installed thereon and either of the frame portion and the movable portion further comprising a horizontal guide surface, wherein drive sliders (51, 52, 53, 54) have horizontal sliding surfaces opposed to the horizontal guide surface and sloped sliding surfaces tilted by a specified angle and are movably engaged with one of the frame portion and the movable portion, swash plates (41, 42, 43, 44) have sloped guide surfaces opposed to the sloped sliding surfaces and are fixed to the other of the frame portion and the movable portion, and linear motors (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b, 4a, 4b) reciprocatingly move the drive sliders along the sloped guide surfaces of the swash plates with a large stroke, whereby the slide can be reciprocatingly moved in vertical direction with a smaller stroke and a larger pressure by the energy of the reciprocatingly moving drive sliders.</p> |
