<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device which can reduce neck injuries of a passenger at the time of an abnormal approaching and at the time of a normal sitting. <P>SOLUTION: In this airbag device restrains the passenger in a vehicle, the airbag device is equipped with an airbag, a housing to house the airbag, and a regulating member. The airbag is constituted of one bag which is housed under an expandable/developable state, and in a vicinity of the center on the passenger side of which a recess is formed at the time of the expansion-development. One end of the regulating member is fixed to a vicinity of the housing, and the other end is fixed to the airbag corresponding to the bottom section of the recess. Then, the airbag device is constituted in such a manner that when the airbag is expanded-developed, the vicinity of the center of the airbag is regulated from moving to the passenger side by the regulating member, and thus, the recess is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
