<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To light an LED at a desired timing when it is made brighter gradually from unlighted state (when fade-in is carried out). <P>SOLUTION: The LED control circuit 100 comprises a circuit 110 for supplying a drive current having a variable magnitude to the LED 1, and a circuit 130 for supplying a drive current having a predetermined magnitude to the LED 1. Upon receiving a lighting start signal externally, the LED control circuit 100 starts supply of a predetermined drive current from the predetermined current supply circuit 130 and lights the LED 1 faintly. Substantially simultaneously with or immediately after start of predetermined drive current supply, the LED control circuit 100 increases the variable drive current supply from the variable drive current supply circuit 110 gradually thus increasing luminance of the LED 1 gradually. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
