IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE CORRECTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of carrying out registration correction without disturbing an edge part of an image after smoothing processing. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus is configured to include: a smoothing section 11 for applying smoothing correction to an input image; a registration correction section 12 for carrying out registration correction to correct a misregistration in the image; and a corrected position adjustment section 13 for adjusting a corrected position of the registration correction in response to a result of the smoothing correction. Since the image processing apparatus adjusts the corrected position of the registration correction in response to the result of registration correction, the image processing apparatus can carry out the registration correction without disturbing the edge part of the image after being subjected to the smoothing processing.
