PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle device and a connecting structure of the on-vehicle device capable of setting of validation/invalidation of a common function among a plurality of on-vehicle devices. SOLUTION: An on-vehicle device (remote start device 20) is constituted so as to be connected to an on-vehicle device (a theft alarm device 10) having a common function equivalent to its own predetermined function. The theft alarm device 10 is provided with a grounded invalid signal output terminal 12. The remote start device 20 includes (1) a grounded invalid signal output terminal 23, (2) a function limit terminal 22 to be connected to the invalid signal output terminal 12 of the theft alarm device 10, and (3) a remote start microcomputer 21 for making its own common function ineffective, provided that the voltage of the function limit terminal 22 is a grounded voltage.
