PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boring chip keeper which can recover boring chips simultaneously with boring work by a bit etc. SOLUTION: In the boring chip keeper for receiving the boring chips produced when a workpiece is bored by the bit etc., a tip guide hole 11 is formed at the tip of a tapered tube 1 formed to be tapered toward the tip, a base end guide hole 12 corresponding with the tip guide hole on the same straight line is formed in the base end wall surface of the tapered tube, the inside of the tapered tube is formed to be a chip receiving space 10, and the bit etc., are inserted into the chip receiving space of the tapered tube from the base end guide hole, so that it is fitted slidably to the bit etc., to protrude the bit etc., from the tip guide hole.
