PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat which enables the installation of a permeable support mat without almost any efforts using a simple organization means and has optimal characteristics from the standpoint of a stream of air and an appearance. SOLUTION: The seat for a vehicle has a support element in a form of a seat section and a back section, cushioning property heartwood 2 which supports a seat user, a cover 9 which conceals the cushioning property heartwood 2, and a locking channel equipped with a recessed part 17 in which the surface of the support element is slender. There are locking devices (21, 22, 24) which draw a cover 9 into the support element in the direction of the heartwood 2 along the locking channel indirectly. Between the cover 9 and the cushioning property heartwood 2, there is a ventilation lamina 55 in which air can carry out conduction, this at least partially curves following the profile of the recessed part of the locking channel, and the ventilation lamina 55 in the sector of the locking channel essentially holds its layer thickness d in spite of the recessed part 17 in the surface.
