An insulated vessel is disclosed. The vessel includes an outer shell (11) with an opening (12) having an area substantially smaller than the maximum area of a normal section of the outer shell. An inner liner (14) of having a maximum area of a normal section of the inner liner that is substantially greater than the area of the opening of the outer shell is disposed inside the outer shell. Insulation is provided in the space between the outer shell and the inner liner.
