PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel for image display, with which the easiness and strength of the joining is heightened, the image display medium does not fall out from a cell, and the image contrast is not lowered even after repeated use, and which is excellent in durability and is low-cost, and also to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The panel for image display displays an image by forming a plurality of cells 11 partitioned with partition walls 4 between the two substrates 1, 2 which are placed opposite to each other and of which at least one is transparent, seals the image display medium 3 in the cells, and makes the image display medium transferred by applying an electric field to the image display medium. The partition walls 4 provided to form the cells 11 by partitioning, in which the image display medium 3 is sealed, are superposed to one another so as to make the partition walls 4 opposite to one another on both of the two substrates 1, 2, and further to make them join on a part of the partition wall 4 for ensuring a distance between the substrates arranged on the one substrate 2 to the other substrate 1.
