PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking method to spectacle lenses for marking the additional permanent marks to take place of the marks put on the surfaces of spectacle lenses to a side inner than the boxed shape regions of the spectacle frame when the marks are no more cut out at the time of working the peripheral edges of the uncut lenses, and also to provide the spectacle lens. SOLUTION: The marking method includes: an operation process of superposing and virtually operating the data on the standard permanent mark position on a spectacle lens face and data on a box shaped region of a spectacle frame laid out according to a prescription; a judgment process for judging whether the standard permanent mark position obtained by the operation process is an inner side or outer side of the box shaped region; a setting and operation process of operating and setting a position where the fresh additional permanent mark is imparted when the position is the outer side as a result of the judgment; and a marking process of marking the additional permanent mark in the position on the lens face set in the set and operation process.
