PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver-supported catalyst of high oxidation reduction activity and suppressing production of hydrogen and its simple production method, and to present a high activity electrode containing the silver-support catalyst, in particular, the silver catalyst support type gas diffusion electrode and production methods thereof, and to provide an electrolyzer safely and efficiently electrolyzing industrial waste liquid to be harmless. SOLUTION: This silver-supported catalyst is obtained by wet-reducing a water-soluble silver salt in the dispersion solution of a porous conductive carrier and supporting metal silver on the conductive carrier, then by coagulating/setting the metal silver support conductive carrier by raising pAg in the dispersion solution, and by washing and removing stored co-existing salts from the metal silver support conductive carrier, residual reducing agent and reducing reaction product.
