Disclosed is a lid (1) for a container, especially a vat, which is used for storing and/or supplying and/or transporting materials that are sensitive to humidity. Said lid (1) is characterized in that a mechanical holding device (2) is provided on the interior face of the lid (1). Said holding device (2) encloses a partial space which is permeable to steam towards the interior of the container and in which one or several bags that are filled with a particulate drying agent is/are inserted. Alternatively, said holding device is used for directly fastening one or several bags filled with particulate drying agent.
