Furthermore, a single-layer or multilayer foil member (2) that is provided with an individualized optical security element and is folded in the sewed or glued area is integrated into the security document by means of sewing or gluing. The fold divides the foil member (2) into a first part (21) on which the individualized optical security element is disposed and a second, preferably flap-shaped part (22) that is permanently connected to a plastic member comprising at least one machine-readable security element. Said at least one machine-readable security element is equipped with an electronic circuit for RF identification.
