The object has two separately arranged book plates (2, 3), which are joined together by a joining unit. The plates are provided with step-like recesses (5). The unit is designed as a base plate (1), where the book plates are attached on the base plate. The base plate has an area, which is selectively larger than or same as a base area of the book plates. The unit is implemented as a plug connection between the book plates. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a decoration object.
