The frame has a base plate (18) forming a mounting surface for a household appliance, and supporting legs (20, 22) fixed at corners of the plate. The legs are designed as bending resistant angle plates with side plates that are formed at right angle to each other. Side pieces (30) of the base plate are formed by edge strips (24). The legs overlap the strips with upper end sections of the pieces and rigidly connected with the strips.
