<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer image receiving sheet enabling formation of an ink receiving layer of which a polyester resin is in a state of being crosslinked moderately for receiving ink and which is capable of absorbing and holding the ink sufficiently and is hydrophobic and uniform, in regard to the thermal transfer image receiving sheet having the ink receiving layer formed on the surface of a thermal transfer substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal transfer image receiving sheet is obtained by a method wherein an ink receiving layer forming solution having a first constituent of the polyester resin, a second constituent of a curing agent for curing the polyester resin, a third constituent of a silica made hydrophobic, a fourth constituent of a hydrophobic ethyl cellulose and a fifth constituent of a solvent is applied on the surface of the substrate and dried. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
