<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fail-soft transport separating apparatus with which processing performance of hardware and software can be efficiently used and which can switch a part of processing steps to the software, before the processing performance of the hardware reaches its limit, and a digital broadcast receiver having the same. <P>SOLUTION: The transport stream processing apparatus includes a plurality of processing steps for separating desired data from a transport stream and comprises a hardware transport stream separating means, a software transport stream separating means and a processing switching means for switching to and from the respective separating means in executing optional processing steps. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
