PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device equipped with an optical input function capable of determining whether or not a display screen has been touched without providing a switch for determining whether or not a light source has been touched.

SOLUTION: The display device has a signal processing part 500 for processing light detection signals coming from a plurality of light detection means. The signal processing part includes a processing part for determining the area of a light-receiving region on a display screen using the light detection signals when light from the tip of a light source means is applied to the display screen, and a determining part that, when information on the area of the light-receiving region is within a preset parameter range, there has been a light input.
