PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform excellent color balance adjustment by determining the degree of influence of flash emission. SOLUTION: This electronic camera is provided with an image acquiring section, a luminance ratio detector and a color balance adjuster. The image acquiring section controls a flashing device to acquire a non-flash image photographed without a flash and a flash image photographed with a flash. The luminance ratio detector obtains a ratio of luminance between different regions A and B within a screen for the non-flash image to decide a luminance ratio Rnf. Further, the luminance ratio detector decides a luminance ratio Rf for the flash image in the same way. Still further, the luminance ratio detector obtains a change amount C of the luminance ratios Rnf and Rf defined by depending on the presence of the flash. The color balance adjuster applies color balance adjustment in which the larger the changing amount C is, the more a color temperature of the flash is emphasized, to a flash-photographed main image.
