PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a certificate authentication method, a certificate authentication side program, a certificate userside user terminal program, a certificate userside manager terminal program, a certificate authentication side system, a certificate userside user terminal, and a certificate userside manager terminal by which loads on the authentication side for managing certificates and authenticating them can be reduced, unauthorized issue of the certificates can be prevented, and the convenience on the userside and the authentication side can be improved. SOLUTION: A certificate authentication side system 1 is for authenticating the certificate to certify the validity of a user whose public key is made public. The system is provided with user-related information DB13a, device user-related information DB13b, certificate-related information DB13c, a certificate issue requesting means 9d, and a certificate issuing means 11a.
