The component comprises a long fiber reinforced, rigid plastic part(2) covered by a thermoplastic film(3). An outer layer(4) is applied onto at least some areas of the film. The film(3) is a grey white color with the shade RAL 9002. Outer layers(4) comprises a primer(5), a filler layer and/or paint layer(6) and is applied onto the film and/or dried at 140-160[deg]C. An independent claim is included for a process for manufacturing the claimed vehicle body part in which a long fiber reinforced, rigid plastic part(2) is produced and a thermoplastic film is applied onto the plastic part. An outer layer is then applied onto at least some areas of the film.
