PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new imidazole compound useful as a coupler for oxidatively dyeing a keratinous fiber, to provide a dyeing composition for dyeing the keratinous fiber, containing at least one oxidation base and at least one specified coupler of imidazole type, to provide use of the composition for dyeing the keratinous fiber, and to provide a dyeing method using the composition.
