PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive a stopper device for stopping and positioning a running body for conveyance at a predetermined position on the halfway of its running passage as required by a brakeless motor. SOLUTION: A stopper 13 is supported between restraint action attitude P1 and restraint release attitude around a support shaft 12 so as to swing forward and backward and is energized and held at the restraint action attitude P1. A driving means is composed of a crank arm 22 for driving the motor, a roller 23 supported at an eccentric position of the crank arm 22, and an engaging guide part 24 provided in the stopper 13. The engaging guide part 24 has substantially D shape. A circular arc part 25a of the engaging guide part 24 becomes substantially concentric with a rotary shaft axis of the crank arm 22 when the stopper 13 is at the restraint action attitude P1. When the roller 23 is within a scope of a fixed angle corresponding to a linear part 25b of the engaging guide part 24, the stopper 13 is switched to the restraint release attitude.
