Information of broadcast programs is managed in such a manner that their program attributes and/or other program association methods are classified into a plurality of items, to each of which a degree of association with a respective corresponding program is allocated. For example, the next broadcast schedule is the highest degree of association with the corresponding program, and the decreasing order of the degree of association with the corresponding program is actors, title and genre. Then, a database search for a base program and related programs is performed for each item, and the search results are arranged in the decreasing order of degree of association with the base program, thereby producing a page of information related to the base program. In this way, information related to a program is given to the user currently viewing that program, thereby smoothly leading him or her to a subsequent recording schedule operation without losing his or her interest induced by his or her viewing of that program. |
