Inverter for solar cells

The inverter (1) includes a device for recording the voltage-current characteristic (U/I) of the solar module (2) or modules. The device may be driven in parallel or alternatively to a maximum power point (MPP) tracking device. The U/I characteristic recording device preferably measures the current for a given voltage.
