Ultrasound welding arrangement comprises an ultrasound sonotrode (11), a plate (12) opposite the probe, and actuating members (25) for moving the sonotrode and the plate relative to one another, so flat work piece sections can be pressed together. Each surface has sections with projections (16) and a smooth area (19,20). The section with projections lies opposite the smooth area and the work pieces are pressed against it during welding. The surface with projections extends over half of the length of the opposing surface. |
