The inventive operating lever (10) is provided with a screw/nut assembly (12) which comprises a fixed element (14) interacting with a movable element (16) by screwing. Said mobile element (16) is provided with a seating element (18) interacting with a diaphragm (20) and consists of two parts in the form of assisting (22) and supporting (24) parts, respectively which are movable with respect to each other. In addition, said operating lever (10) comprises assisting means (26) for displacing the seating element (18) which are used for cinematically connecting the assisting part (22) of the movable element (16) to a drive element which is rotationally connected to the diaphragm (20) or formed thereby. In the preferred embodiment, the seating element (18) comprises a bearing (28) which is provided with two rings, i.e. a rotatable ring (28b) interacting with the diaphragm (20) and a rotationally fixed ring (28a) carried by the part of the support (24) of the movable element (16). The assisting part (22) of the movable element (16) interacts with the rotatable ring (28b) by means of complementary friction (30).
