PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector for a vacuum cleaner easily disposing the dust and suppressing the collected dust from getting moldy even if leaving it undisposed. SOLUTION: A dust collecting case 31 having a negative pressure chamber 34 is provided with an introduction pipe 41 having an atomizing means atomizing sucked water into mist, and a dust collecting chamber 35 communicating with an outlet of the introduction pipe 41 respectively. An upstream filter 42 is attached to a partition 37 for partitioning the dust collecting chamber 35 from the negative pressure chamber 34. A downstream filter 43 closing the negative pressure chamber 34 from its downstream side is attached to the dust collecting case 31. An accumulation chamber 36 receiving drop objects from the downstream filter 43 is provided in the dust collecting case 31 positioned in the lower part of the downstream filter 43.
