PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coolant treating apparatus capable of attaining installation arrangement of high versatility without needing a design change according to a machine tool and exhibiting space saving of an installation floor area and easy maintainability. SOLUTION: In this coolant treating apparatus 100, a purified coolant storage tank 120 for recycling a turbid coolant D containing chip discharged from the machine tool M, as a purified coolant C is composed of a recovery sub-tank 121 disposed at the lower part of a turbid coolant treating tank 110 to recover the purified coolant C flowing in from the turbid coolant treating tank 110, and a supply main tank 122 placed separately from the recovery sub-tank 121 to store the purified coolant C forcibly transferred from the recovery sub-tank 121 through a lift-up pump 160.
