摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reformer of a fuel cell device, capable of preventing the emission of unburned combustible contents from a reforming section and excess temperature rise of a catalyst combustion chamber and the like, by accelerating a reforming reaction by the well-balanced partial oxidation reaction and steam reforming reaction in the reforming section. SOLUTION: The reformer comprises a startup determination device to determine a startup of a reforming section 4 and an evaporator 10, a water supply device 18 to supply water to the upstream of the reforming section, and a water supply control device to start supplying water by the water supply device at the time of a startup determination of the reforming section and to stop supplying water at the time of a startup determination of the evaporator. The balance between the partial oxidation reaction and the steam reforming reaction in the reforming section is maintained properly by additionally supplying water from the upstream of the reforming section to combustion gas, during the process comprising to mix air with combustion gas generated by a startup combustion chamber, to supply the mixed gas to the reforming section, to start the reforming section, to complete warming of the evaporator, and to start supplying the predetermined evaporated fuel from the evaporator to the reforming section.
