A system for limiting the speed of a vehicle having an accelerator control whereby a driver of the vehicle can vary the speed of the vehicle, the system comprises: a limiter for preventing the speed of the vehicle from exceeding a limit speed; and limit speed setting means operable during operation of the vehicle to set the limit speed; whereby, while the limiter is activated, the driver is prevented from increasing the speed above the said limit speed. |
