PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for changing the cutter bit of a shield machine that is structurally simple enough to allow easy operations and maintenance and a device therefor. SOLUTION: A slide box 26 having a removable lid on its front surface is moved until abutting against a cutter spoke 7, and then the lid is removed and the slide box 26 is pressed against the cutter spoke 7. A water cutoff valve 25 inserted in the slide box 26 is aligned with a cutter bit 11 and fixed to the cutter spoke 7, and a cutter change bar is inserted into the water cutoff valve 45 and connected to the cutter bit 11; the cutter bit 11 is then unlocked and is drawn out of the water cutoff valve 45, together with the cutter change bar, and a new cutter bit 11 is connected to the cutter change bar. The new cutter bit 11 is attached to the cutter spoke 7 through a process that is approximately the opposite of the above process. |
