A mobile node MN registers a care-of address CoA of a destination with a home agent HA. A node CN to communicate with the mobile node MN inquires a name server DNSY about the care-of address CoA of the mobile node. The name server DNSY obtains the care-of address CoA from the home agent HA and sends it to the node CN in reply. The node CN communicates with the mobile node MN by using the care-of address as the destination address. Alternatively, an access router provided in a subnet holds the care-of address CoA, and forwards packets to the mobile node. This reduces the control traffic and eliminates the triangle routing. <IMAGE> |
