PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide anα-lipoic acid/cyclodextrin inclusion compound having a high inclusion rate of theα-lipoic acid and a heightened effective activity ratio of theα-lipoic acid included in the cyclodextrin. SOLUTION: Theα-lipoic acid/cyclodextrin inclusion compound obtained by including theα-lipoic acid in the cyclodextrin contains≥30 mass%α-lipoic acid in the inclusion compound. The method for producing theα-lipoic acid/cyclodextrin inclusion compound obtained by including theα-lipoic acid in the cyclodextrin comprises mixing an alcohol solution of theα-lipoic acid with a water dispersion of the cyclodextrin, and subjecting the resultant mixture to ultrasonic treatment at 30-60 KHz ultrasound frequency for 1.5-3.5 hr treating time at 4-30°C treating temperature.
